Behind the Prison Bars

I love to speak from behind the jail bars of civility so that my words may not be bound by this ‘innocuous’ incarceration.

Some people call it ‘Civility’.
But I call it a façade of falsetto that hide who they truly are.

Life is ruthless.
Everyone seems to be the judge of your life.
I hear their Gavel slammed against the table to remind me of my missteps.

But I have learned to care less.
I have deprived my actions to dance to the tune of their Gavels.
To that, my critics called me arrogant.
But I laughed – ARROGANTLY.

I leaned forward;
close enough so that my detractors can digest the stench of my disgust
and absorb every bit of my indignation.

Pardon me!
But if I may ascend to the Judge’s seat,
I will pronounce you guilty of hypocrisy.
I may even sentence you to twenty-five consecutive life in prison
for the callous murder of your true thoughts.
Another 20 consecutive life in prison
for the suppression of your true character;
and probably recommend Capital punishment
for the false advertisement of who you truly are.

But I’ll refrain from seeking out their impudence.
Those shoes aren’t mine to fill.

For the Lover Yet to be Known

I cannot get myself to tell you that I love you.

It is not because I don’t love you.

It is because when you stand thre looking at me like that,

your unbelieveable beauty causes words to take flight from my thoughts

…and that thing you do with your dimles renders me speechless.

Good night babe.

Road to Success

On the road to success, you will be doubted by many. Even by those whom you love will reject you at the slightest hint of failure.

My vision

You can't see my vision because you are not looking through my eyes.

Ambition

Ambition can sometimes strip you of all that you have so that you may free up your hands to grasp a bigger tomorrow. When pushed to the wall, the human mind becomes the most innovate element. Never lose hope because what you consider your failure today may be the beginning of your walk down the path of success.

Life

Life is like standing on the shores of the ocean. Most people will get scared and run away at the sight of the first wave. A successful man plants his feet deep into the sand no matter the size of the wave. The sting of the wave is always the coldest but it gets warmer during subsequent waves. So no matter your fears may be, remember to plant your feet firmly because it can only get better.
